Removing Barriers to Voting in Massachusetts
The Election Modernization Coalition's long standing goals include ensuring elections are accessible, participatory, accurate, and safe. We seek to remove barriers to registration and voting for all, and to modernize voting systems in Massachusetts. We do research, outreach, advocacy and public education to reach these goals.

BILLS & LEGISLATION
The Election Modernization Coalition has worked alongside state lawmakers to craft, file, and advance legislation to remove barriers to voting. These priorities include Same Day Registration, decoupling the municipal census from voter registration, and disability voting accessibility oversight.
OUR HISTORY
The Election Modernization Coalition was established in 2010 to organize legislative campaigns aimed at removing barriers to the ballot and making voting more accessible in Massachusetts.

EMC has successfully advocated for new laws including Automatic Voter Registration, Vote-by-Mail, Early Voting, Online Voter Registration, Pre-Registration of 16 & 17 year-olds, enrollment in the Electronic Registration and Information Center (ERIC States), and more.
